ABOUT ANNUAL CRUISE FOR A CAUSE

Annual Cruise For A Cause is an annual fundraiser and book launch dinner cruise to raise funds in support of a local organization helping the community. Over the past eleven (11) years, Ytevia Watts has made an annual donation or raised funds during the month of September to donate to a nonprofit of choice, in memory of her mother Marquita Letice. September is a very special time of the year as Ytevia and her mother both were born during this 9th month of the year. This donation helps celebrate the life and bond they shared.

Who/What is Ytevia Speaks?

Ytevia Speaks is a concierge service; a subsidiary of Barrier Breaker Enterprises, LLC that delivers sustainable, groundbreaking and innovative, coaching, training, products and events that assist people, entrepreneurs, corporate and government entities achieve their purpose and mission with passion and tenacity.

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is $125.  We are offering an EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION for $106.50 from April 10-17, 2018.  LIVE EVENT REGISTRATION will be $125 starting April 18, 2018.

What does the registration fee include?

The $125 registration fee includes, buffet dinner, beverages (juice, tea and soda), swag bag with autograph book and bookmarker, and the net proceeds will be your donation to the Children’s National Health System, Washington, DC.  It does not include transportation to and from the airport or the marina port, parking, lodging, airfare or alcoholic beverages.

What is the registration deadline for the Annual Cruise For A Cause Fundraiser and Book Tour?

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION opens on April 10 and closes on April 17 at 11:59 PM EDT

LIVE EVENT REGISTRATION opens on April 18 and closes at 11:59 PM EDT on August 15, 2018 or when the event reaches capacity.

Can attendees register at the port?

Due to the max capacity of passengers on the yacht and to ensure that enough food and beverages are available for each guest, registration must be finalized 30 days prior to the date of the cruise.

Is this a family event for all ages?

Only those 21 and older on the date of the event are allowed to board the yacht for the Annual Cruise For A Cause Fundraiser and Book Tour.  Please send an email to info@yteviaspeaks.com to find out about future events that are more family friendly.

What is the event attire?

This is an “All Black Affair” attendees are enjoyed to wear black and business or after 5’ wear.  No athletic wear or tennis shoes, etc. are permitted.  Women are welcome to wear tennis shoes as long as they change into other appropriate footwear.

When do you suggest out of state attendees arrive?

We suggest out of state attendees arrive Friday, September 14, 2018 to ensure you are not rushed to the port and enjoy the event.  Room blocks are available from Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16.  Hotels will honor rates for days booked prior to and up to two days following the end of the event block.

Can I transfer my reservation to another person?

Attendees are allowed to transfer their registrations via email up until August 15, 2018 at 11:59PM for a fee of $15.  For registration transfers, please contact info@yteviaspeaks.com

Where is the detail information on the meet and greet prior to the cruise?

An overwhelming number of potential attendees have contacted us and preferred to have an after cruise venue to attend.  A survey will be sent out to determine the majority interest as the team works to identify options at The Wharf (near the Marina Port).
